Nabi is trained as an architect and urban designer. He is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow under the RMIT European Doctoral Innovators (REDI) Program, pursuing his PhD from
the offices of 5th Studio in London.

His work focuses on the multiscalar relationship between water, ecology, and cities.
Further areas of interest are urban ecology, resilience, sustainability,
climate adaptation and mitigation,
environmental justice, bioregionalism,
flood resilience, and water
management.

Agzamov holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology and a Master’s in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University, where he was awarded with the Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Memorial Prize. He is also an alumnus of The New Normal post-graduate research program at Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design.

Between 2019–2022 he was the Head of the Center for Urban Resilience and Ecology at Strelka KB. Before Strelka, Agzamov worked at SCAPE in New York, where he worked on the design of the Ecological Citizens exhibition for the US Pavilion at the Venice Biennale Architettura (2018).
